Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: July 02, 2025
This Cancellation Policy governs all service terminations and refund eligibility related to hosting, domains, licenses, and other associated services provided by Server Planet. Our goal is to ensure transparency, fairness, and operational continuity for all customers. By purchasing or using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms.
1. Overview
Server Planet understands that circumstances may arise where clients need to discontinue services. This policy outlines the procedures, timelines, and consequences of account cancellation, ensuring compliance with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. All cancellations are processed in accordance with vendor licensing, datacenter, and payment gateway regulations.
2. How to Request Cancellation
Cancellation requests must be initiated through an authenticated method only — either by submitting a support ticket from the Client Area or via written email from your registered email address. Verbal, WhatsApp, social media, or third-party requests will not be accepted. Once received, our billing team will verify ownership and process the request accordingly.
3. Effective Date of Cancellation
All cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle unless an immediate termination is requested. Immediate cancellations result in irreversible data deletion, and no prorated refund will be issued for unused service days. Deleted accounts cannot be restored under any circumstances.
4. Fifteen-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Server Planet offers a fifteen (15) day money-back guarantee on monthly shared plan, reseller hosting plans, master reseller, alpha reseller, VPS and Dedicated Servers, subject to eligibility. Refund eligibility is void if a discount code, free add-on, lifetime offer, or third-party license has been used.
5. Non-Refundable and Non-Cancellable Items
The following services and transactions are strictly non-refundable once provisioned or activated:
- Dedicated IP addresses once assigned
- Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers (as per ICANN/registry rules)
- SSL certificates and third-party add-ons (LiteSpeed, Imunify360, JetBackup, etc.)
- Free or discounted WHMCS, control panel, or software licenses
- Promotional, discounted, coupon-based, or referral purchases
- Lifetime hosting plans and one-time payment offers
- VPS, Dedicated, and Cloud servers after provisioning
- Customized, managed, migration, security, or cleanup services
6. Effect of Cancellation on Services
Upon confirmation of cancellation, all hosting services, files, emails, databases, backups, and control panel access will be permanently deleted. License access and associated services will also be terminated immediately.
7. Data Backup Responsibility
Although Server Planet may provide automated backups on select services, customers are solely responsible for maintaining their own local and offsite backups. Backup data availability is not guaranteed after cancellation.
8. Cancellation of Domain and Lifetime Bundled Services
If your hosting plan includes bundled benefits such as a free domain or lifetime features, cancellation will immediately void those benefits. Domains remain under customer ownership but will renew at standard rates. Lifetime plans cannot be converted, downgraded, or refunded once activated.
9. Early Cancellations and Partial Usage
Cancellations made after the refund period are not eligible for partial or prorated refunds. Unused service days or remaining term balances are forfeited unless a verified server-side issue exists.
10. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds, where applicable, will be processed within thirty (30) business days to the original payment method only. Processing time may vary depending on the bank or payment provider.
11. Suspension or Termination by Server Planet
Server Planet reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account without prior notice in cases of abuse, spam, phishing, illegal activities, excessive resource usage, or violation of Acceptable Use Policies. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
12. Prorated Refunds (Company-Initiated Termination)
If Server Planet discontinues a service for reasons unrelated to policy violations (such as infrastructure changes), a prorated refund may be offered for unused service days, excluding domains, add-ons, and licenses.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback or dispute without contacting our billing team first is a policy violation. This may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of refunds, and permanent service denial.
14. Downgrades and Service Conversions
Downgrades between plans do not trigger refunds. Remaining credits may be adjusted toward future invoices at management discretion. Lifetime and discounted plans are excluded.
15. Force Majeure
Server Planet is not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, datacenter failures, ISP outages, cyber-attacks, or government restrictions.
16. Legal Compliance and Data Retention
Certain account records may be retained for legal, tax, or audit purposes in accordance with applicable laws, even after service cancellation.
17. No Reinstatement After Cancellation
Once canceled, accounts cannot be reinstated. New orders must be placed to resume services, subject to availability and applicable charges.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
All services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind. Refunds and cancellations are governed strictly by this policy.
19. Limitation of Liability
Server Planet shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from cancellation or refund denial. Liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the last ninety (90) days.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts.
